Happy 2015!

I’m excited to ring in the new year and focus more on getting my work out there! It’s been a great year and I have a lot to show for it! I got married, became involved with a lot of great organizations, made new friends, strengthened relationships with old friends. I recently became the social media manager for Boom Island Brewing in Minneapolis, MN and have been focusing my effort and brain power to promoting the brewery. But I still need to make time for the things I love – photographing couples and being witness to the beauty around me.

I hope you’ll stick with me through this journey of continuous self discovery!

A look back at a Van Dusen Mansion wedding I had two years ago. This is still one of my favorite Minneapolis venues! It’s amazing how the same place can be transformed by each couples’ personality.

 

Elizabeth & Mike

Mike & Elizabeth are a couple who were brought together by the Wedding Industry itself. They chose to exchange their lasting vows with an intimate group of family and friends in Northern Minnesota early this spring. The weather was a bit chilly coming off the still ice-covered lake, but the couple warmed their guests with breakfast-style dinner -complete with french toast, eggs & bacon! I think their love and their humor shows through in these moments I captured.

A Match Made in… Shanghai?

Amy & Jonny came from two different worlds. While she was growing up in Minnesota, he was raised in a small town, (no where near London as he tells it), England. They met in Shanghai, lived in England and are continuing their story back here in Minnesota. The two wed at the beautiful Van Dusen Mansion, Minneapolis, MN. Here’s a window into their journey and their travel-inspired wedding!

Out with the old & in with the new! This couple put a spin on the tradition of not seeing the bride before the ceremony by greeting each other blindfolded! Adam & Amanda tied the knot July 2014 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center!
